Meals

A choice of a packed lunch brought from home or a hot meal provided by the contractor (Naafi) is available.

The meals provided by the caterer (Naafi) offer a choice of both main meal and dessert. The current menu is available to download below.

Parents wishing to take advantage of school meals are required to pay for meals in advance. Payment is made in Euros by direct debit from a german bank account . A bill will be issued monthly detailing the daily rate and the number of days for which payment/credit is required. One weeks notice is required to change to or from school meals. School meals for pupils are provided on a monthly basis and therefore pupils must be signed up for meals on a month to month basis.

Parents wishing to provide their child with a packed lunch are advised that for health and safety reasons no glass bottles should be sent to school. Advice and guidance on the storage and content of a healthy packed lunch menu may be found at www.food.gov.uk/news.

The schools policy is to encourage healthy eating. We will not force children to eat particular types or amounts of food but inform parents of any concerns observed about eating habits.

SCE is  commited to the Healthy Schools Programme. One very useful website that is recommended and  gives news ideas on eating healthily is the  The  Change 4 Life website . The website is packed with useful resources and freebies and  the  "Snack Swaps" infomercial is currently being aired on UK television.
